Our Mission:
The English Language Arts Council of the Alberta Teachers’ Association supports and promotes teachers’ professional learning in English language arts and advocates promising practices and positive conditions to foster student learning. Welcome to the website of the English Language Arts Council (ELAC), a Specialist Council of the Alberta Teachers' Association. The goal of this website is to provide ideas, approaches and materials that support the Professional Growth Plans of Alberta teachers. Please note that access to some pages is restricted to Council members.

Check out the ELAC 2012 Conference for the Love of Learning. Dr. Robert Kelly, of the University of Calgary, will be featured as the keynote speaker at the 2012 conference.
