Conference Director’s Invitation

We invite you to attend ELAC’s 50th Annual ATA Provincial Council Conference Celebrating New Heights.  Attending this year’s conference, will offer you an opportunity to engage in a wide variety of educational topics and provincial initiatives relevant to all teachers of English Language Arts.

We hope you will join us to celebrate ELAC’s 50th birthday.  We promise a weekend of dynamic speakers, storytellers, authors and entertainers who will inspire, engage and motivate you.  You can attend break out sessions to learn new ideas, innovative use of technology, and build expertise that will enhance and heighten your teaching.  We will entice you with storytelling, a movie extravaganza on Saturday evening and featured speakers throughout the weekend.

Meals will be hosted in the new Vistas dining room and the view is breathtaking.

We are fortunate to host Mr. Terry Fallis as our keynote speaker on Saturday, May 7 in the Max Bell Auditorium.

Your provincial executive and the conference committee are working hard to ensure you have a fantastic conference experience at the magnificent Banff Centre on May 6-8th, 2011.  This is an exciting professional development opportunity to consider new ideas, confirm your research, meet and share information and have fun and laughter with your friends and colleagues in the language arts community.
