The name of the recipient of the Honorary Complementary Membership Award will be announced at ELAC's Annual Conference and the honoree will awarded a certificate of recognition. The honoree is eligible to receive one night's accommodation at the conference, a one-day meal plan and a complementary conference registration.
Further, this award entitles the honoree to continuous membership in the Council, the receipt of council publications and the same rights of membership as a “regular” member—i.e., the right to vote and to hold office, to attend the annual conference for the same fee as that charged to regular members, and to participate in all other activities of the council on the same basis as would regular members.
