About the Teacher-Researcher Grant
Applications will be accepted from ELAC members only. Please ensure that your membership is in good standing at the time of application and remains in good standing throughout your project. Also, please note that recipients of grants must share their projects in a written report to the Council and may be asked to make a presentation at the annual ELAC conference. Further guidelines for this report will be provided to those who receive awards.
In recognition of word processing capabilities, we have not provided you with an actual application form, but rather have given you a cover sheet (page 1) and an outline of the topics to be included in your proposal (pages 2 and 3). Please follow the outline carefully and include the headings as provided here in your document. Please complete and return page 1, noting the terms of the agreement. Submit six (6) complete copies of your proposal for review.
In completing this proposal, be as descriptive as possible in each section. Be sure to explain any unusual or unique circumstances that will influence your research. The appended reference materials may be helpful to you in preparing your proposal.
Proposals will be reviewed by the ELAC Executive Committee by a process of blind review without identification of the researchers or schools. Please complete the cover sheet for identification purposes, but do not include identification information elsewhere on your proposal. The cover sheet will be removed prior to review by the committee to ensure fair evaluation of all proposals. Be sure to include your project title on the top of page 2.
